ShipStation x DropStream Integration

🔗 Connecting Your ShipStation Account via DropStream

To complete the integration between your ShipStation account and our platform through DropStream, we’ll need a few key details and your confirmation on certain settings. Below is a step-by-step breakdown of the required items and default configurations. Let us know if you’d like to proceed with the default options or request changes.

✅ Required Credentials

Please provide the following credentials from your ShipStation account:

• API Key
• API Secret
• Customer Secret

These credentials allow us to securely connect your account and begin syncing orders.

⚙️ Default Integration Settings

Unless specified otherwise, the following settings will be applied during the connection setup. You’re welcome to review and let us know if you prefer any adjustments.

1. Use Original Request Shipping Description

🔹 Default: Disabled

• Uses the shipping method from your sales channel (e.g., Shopify or Magento) instead of ShipStation’s translation.

2. Notify Customer

🔹 Default: Disabled

• When enabled, ShipStation will send an email to your customer once the shipment is posted.

3. Notify Sales Channel

🔹 Default: Enabled

• Sends a shipping notification from DropStream to the connected sales channel, which may also notify your customer.

4. Order Tags (Optional)

🔹 If you'd like to import only orders with specific tags, please provide the tag list.

• Without tags, all eligible orders will be imported.

5. Order Acknowledgement Tag

🔹 Optional tag to be applied to imported orders in ShipStation.

• Available options will display after authorization. Let us know if you'd like this feature enabled.

6. Exclude Empty Orders

🔹 Default: Disabled

• Prevents importing orders with no line items, if enabled.

7. SKU Configuration

🔹 Default: Auto

• Determines which SKU to import:
  • Auto: Use Product SKU if both are present.
  • Product SKU: Always use Product SKU.
  • Fulfillment SKU: Always use Fulfillment SKU.

📅 Important Setting: Accept Orders After

🔹 Default: 5 days prior to integration setup

• Only orders created after this date will be imported. Let us know if you'd like a different cutoff date.
